Sami Komsan, Al Ahly’s assistant coach, spoke ahead of our upcoming game against Tanzania’s Simba SC in the final fixture of the CAF Champions League group stage.

“We highlighted the importance of tomorrow’s game to our players. Moreover, we aim to achieve an important victory and make sure that all our players are in a good condition.”

“Although tomorrow’s result won’t affect the group standing, yet we see it as a good opportunity for us to achieve an important victory against Simba; especially after our previous defeat against them.”

Despite having several absences ahead of the game, yet Komsan added that the Red Eagles are ready for tomorrow’s encounter.

Komsan concluded that Friday’s match is also important to regain Al Ahly fans’ trust in the team and to please them once again after our previous draw against Sudan’s Al Merrikh SC in the fifth fixture of the CAF Champions League group stage.

On a similar note, the Red Eagles were held to a 2-2 draw against Sudan’s Al Merrikh SC in the fifth fixture of the CAF Champions League group stage.

Despite having a draw, yet Al Ahly managed to book a second qualifying ticket to quarter-finals of the competition.
